| Joe Dolan 1939-2007 Prin anul 1958, Joe Dolan si-a achizitionat prima sa chitara si alaturi de fratele sau Ben, care canta la saxofon, si-au facut propria formatie, The Drifters, care nu dupa mult timp s-a numit Joe Dolan and The Drifters. 1969 a fost anul in care si-a facut consacrarea internationala cu hitul “Make Me an Island”. Popularitatea acestei piese a crescut rapid in Europa si in intreaga lume, ajungand pe primul loc in topuri in nu mai putin de 14 tari. In anul 1970 chiar a fost prezent la Brasov, la “Cerbul de aur” ,unde a interpretat piesa “Make Me an Island”. In anul 1981 a fost lansat un nou hit, “More And More“, urmat repede de altele, “It’s You, It’s You, It’s You” , “Come Back Home“, ”Take Me I’m Yours“, ”Sometimes When We Touch“. Apoi, in anii ’90 isi infinteaza propria casa de discuri, Gable Records.
